One-on-one Consultations
We can help you become a better writer! Book an appointment, bring in a writing assignment, and receive individual feedback from an experienced instructor. Appointments are fifty minutes long and must be booked at least one day in advance. Have a look at our FAQs for more information. Writing Centre appointments are booked online. Check the Writing Centre's homepage for announcements concerning other available appointments.
Drop-in Hours
At busy times of year the Writing Centre also offers drop-in appointments. Check our hours for the drop-in schedule during those busy times. Note that drop-in appointments are only twenty minutes long so it is important that you come with a focused question.
Writing Workshops
We offer free group seminars on many aspects of writing at university, including essay-writing, lab reports, editing, grammar and style, and more. Look for our workshop listings on the Intranet, and stay tuned to our homepage for announcements about all our upcoming events.
Writing Clinics
Writing Clinics are sessions that offer you the opportunity to work on your assignments in our computer-equipped lab and get help from peer coaches or a writing tutor. Go here for more information and student responses, including a video. Check the Intranet for dates, times, and details.
